Apple surprised everyone today with the unveiling of the iPhone Pocket, a new accessory designed — in the company’s own words — to let you carry your iPhone “in an elegant way.” What’s surprising? Beyond its minimalist woven design, Apple itself described it as “a piece of fabric,” and many couldn’t believe the price tag: from $149 to $229. Yes, possibly the most expensive piece of cloth you’ll ever buy.

Apple + Issey Miyaje: iPhone Pocket

Created in collaboration with ISSEY MIYAKE, the iPhone Pocket features a 3D-woven design that adapts to any iPhone or small item that fits in your pocket. According to Apple, the concept was inspired by the idea of “a piece of fabric” to create an additional pocket — simple, functional, and fashion-forward.

As shown in official images, the iPhone Pocket has an opening to store your phone and can be worn in multiple ways: hanging from your hand, attached to a backpack, or even across the body like a sling bag. The versatility depends on which version you choose — a short-strap model available in eight colors, or a long-strap model in three shades.

Price of the iPhone Pocket

Of course, those extra centimeters come at a cost. The short version is priced at $149.95, while the longer design goes up to $229.95. Each piece reflects the craftsmanship and design sensibility of ISSEY MIYAKE combined with Apple’s minimalist aesthetic.

United States on the list of countries where this product will be sold

Because it’s a limited-edition collaboration, the iPhone Pocket won’t be sold everywhere. Apple announced it will only be available at select Apple Stores and apple.com in France, China, Italy, Japan, Singapore, South Korea, the United Kingdom, and the United States.

The iPhone Pocket will go on sale starting November 14, 2025. Once again, Apple proves its knack for turning even the simplest objects into highly coveted design items — reminding us that, in Apple’s world, even a piece of fabric can become a symbol of style.
